The North Central Consolidated Patient Account Center (NCCPAC) stands as a pivotal institution in the realm of healthcare finance, playing a crucial role in medical billing and revenue cycle management for Veteran hospitals across Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. Established in response to the inefficiencies of individual hospital billing, and in order to fulfill President Lincoln’s promise “to care for those who have served in our nation’s military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors”. NCCPAC is one of seven consolidated patient account centers formed following a Congressional mandate in 2008. NCCPAC’s mission goes beyond financial operations—it’s about enhancing the quality of care provided to our nation’s veterans. In the past year alone, the center successfully collected over $520 million, all of which directly benefited the 19 affiliated hospitals. This substantial sum is earmarked for improvements in patient care, ranging from advanced medical equipment to increased staffing levels of nurses and doctors. Working at NCCPAC allows employees to contribute to a noble cause, knowing that their efforts directly impact the well-being of those who have served our country.
